Welcome to CIC On-Line!

 The Community Involvement Council...was originally formed in 1985 to promote employment opportunities for people who have disabilities.  The primary strategy for accomplishing this was to provide a forum for representatives from a broad spectrum of service providers to discuss key issues and practical solutions relevant to Supported Employment.

 Our Mission... has changed over the years and now encompasses a much broader emphasis on participation and inclusion in all aspects of life in the community - not just employment; thus, the focus on Community Involvement.  To be effective we believe that the following goals must be met:

  1. We share information;
  2. We provide education and public awareness;
  3. We advocate and lobby;
  4. We promote individuality and inclusion.

 The CIC has Developed a 'Grass Roots' Network... that has had considerable success in meeting the aforementioned goals.  Please read on and learn how these strategies may assist you, or the people you serve.  Join our growing network of people with disabilities, families, employers, educators, and service providers.
