Welcome to CIC On-Line!The Community Involvement Council...was originally formed in 1985 to promote employment opportunities for people who have disabilities. The primary strategy for accomplishing this was to provide a forum for representatives from a broad spectrum of service providers to discuss key issues and practical solutions relevant to Supported Employment. Our Mission... has changed over the years and now encompasses a much broader emphasis on participation and inclusion in all aspects of life in the community - not just employment; thus, the focus on Community Involvement. To be effective we believe that the following goals must be met:
The CIC has Developed a 'Grass Roots' Network... that has had considerable success in meeting the aforementioned goals. Please read on and learn how these strategies may assist you, or the people you serve.
