International Dyslexia Association
The International Dyslexia Association actively promotes effective teaching approaches and related clinical educational intervention strategies for dyslexics. They support and encourage interdisciplinary study and research. They facilitate the exploration of the causes and early identification of dyslexia and are committed to the responsible and wide dissemination of research-based knowledge.  Located at:

The National Association for the Dually Diagnosed
A not-for-profit membership association established for professionals, care providers and families to promote understanding of and services for individuals who have developmental disabilities and mental health needs.  Located at:

Enables web surfers to research training options in Canada.  Also allows training providers with an opportunity to advertise their courses.  Located at:

JOB BANK on the Internet
Electronic listing of jobs, work, or business opportunities phoned into Human Resource Centres of Canada by employers around the country.  Employers wishing to advertise may do so by calling their local Human Resource Centre.  Located at:

Is a membership organization formed in 1988 to improve and expand integrated employment opportunities, services, and outcomes for persons experiencing disabilities.  Located at:

Canadian Abilities Foundation
Provides information, inspiration, and opportunity to Canadians with disabilities, their families, friends, and the entire spectrum of professionals working in their service.  Located at:

Canadian Association for Community Living
Fights for more meaningful lives for people with intellectual
disabilities in Canada.  Located at:

Canadian Health Network
Easy access for Canadians to a wide range of health information.  Although it is a generic health information site, one can search for information specific to people with disabilities.  Located at:

Caregiver Network Inc.
Based in Toronto, Canada the goal of CNI is to be a national single information source to make life as a caregiver easier.   Located at:

Centre for Management of Community Services (cmcs)
cmcs is a non-profit agency funded by Ontario's Ministry of Community and Social Services. Their mission is to promote innovative services for people with disabilities. To achieve this goal they provide consulting, training and publications to organizations which support these individuals.  Located at:

Community Living North Halton

Persons with disabilities across Canada now have a dedicated internet site that will provide quick access to information on government related disability programs and services. Developed in consultation with persons with disabilities and service providers, the site contains information on disability related programs, services and initiatives, as well as key contacts.  Located at:

Esmerel's Collection of Disability Resources

OASIS
Ontario Agencies Supporting Individuals with Special Needs.  Provides resources and assists agencies in advocating for the rights of the individuals and families whom they serve.  Located at:

Community Living Ontario
Support the full inclusion of people who are identified as having an intellectual disability in all aspects of community living.  About 12,000 people belong to the  Community Living Ontario (CLO) through their membership in more than 100 affiliated local associations.  Located at:

Active Living Alliance
The Active Living Alliance for Canadians with a

Fund Raising Opportunuities

Ontario Trillium Foundation

The funding model for Community and Province-wide Grants allocates 80 per cent of the $100 million for distribution to local charities for community projects and 20 per cent to charitable organizations or projects with a province-wide scope. Located at:
