The Community Involvement Council has undertaken a number of projects to ensure that people who have disabilities have increased opportunities within the community.  For example:

The Stories Project has produced a number of publications which highlight community inclusion and illuminate the manner in which this can be accomplished.  These publications are being read and enjoyed by thousands of educators, students, and families from all over the world.

The 'Listen Hear' Project will be a testament to the ability of people who have disabilities who have overcome the barriers that they may have faced.  These stories of challenges, or personal triumphs, are meant to inspire and empower each of us as we learn of the courage of others during their journey to achieving their dreams.

The Self-Employment Showcase is a place where people who have disabilities can promote their goods or services.

The Employment Outcomes Project has developed a manual and database which support a three-step model for the evaluation of Supported Employment Programs.

The Corporate Marketing Project has produced two employment guides, one for agencies called "Opportunity Knocks", and one for employers entitled, "Smart Move."

"Are We Doing What We Say  We're Doing?" is a review package that has been created to assist organizations who provide services for people who have disabilities.

"simple safety" is an occupational safety training program that has been created to be easy to read and to understand.
